COUNSELING

Community Family Counseling Services

When parents and teens don’t see eye-to-eye, small issues become big problems. Family Resources offers individual and family counseling that provides a clear path to resolution. Family crisis intervention addresses the issues that led to the crisis (including regularly missing school, running away from home, and displaying unmanageable behaviors) and then assesses the likelihood of future problems.

Family and individual counseling offers a safe refuge for parents and kids. Trained, dedicated, and available staff will help you overcome your difficulties. As soon as possible, a counselor is assigned to your family who is ready to identify solutions that will begin the healing process.

Who Is Eligible for Family Counseling?

In addition to Family Counseling, Family Resources also provides individual counseling for children and teens ages 6 to 17. We provide a safe and secure place to work on strained family relationships. Our family counselors have a master’s degree in counseling or a related field to ensure that the highest quality of service is received. Counseling services are confidential and provided in a welcoming office environment.

Truancy Prevention Program – Reducing Absenteeism With Counseling

Family Resources’ Truancy Prevention Program helps students who start to skip school, or are at risk for skipping school, to get them back into the classroom before they get into further trouble.

Our Truancy Prevention Program is designed for youth starting to experience difficulty in school with behavior problems, skipping classes or not listening/abiding by parents’ and teachers’ rules.

This program is for students age 6 to 17 years old who are not involved in foster care or probation.

Family Resources offers case management and counseling services provided to the youth and family at no charge.
